The countdown is on as we prepare for the Robo Soccer Competition 2026, kicking off on January 26 at 09:30 AM at Yabot Academy, Trivandrum. Young innovators aged 8–15 years will take the field with their robo soccer bots, competing in action-packed matches that highlight creativity, control, and teamwork.
This exciting event is more than a competition, it’s a showcase of months of learning, building, and problem-solving. Parents, mentors, and supporters are invited to cheer on the teams as students gain confidence and experience real-world robotics challenges. With trophies, prizes, and certificates awaiting the winners, the stage is set for an unforgettable day of innovation and fun!

ROBONXT, a collaborative program by Yabot Academy and Sri Chithra Thirunal College of Engineering, Pappanamcode, was successfully conducted last week in association with Cybots, the Robotics Club of SCT College. The session introduced participants to the fundamentals of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, with a focused discussion on the role of AI and Machine Learning in advancing robotic systems. The program encouraged students to explore innovation, intelligent technologies, and future pathways in robotics and automation.

Our Robo Soccer Workshop was a great success, with kids building and controlling their own robo soccer bots through hands-on learning and teamwork. The session was full of energy, creativity, and excitement, preparing students for the upcoming Robo Soccer Competition.
Students explored electronics, motor control, and game strategies while gaining confidence and problem-solving skills.

Last Sunday’s Makers Lab was filled with creativity and hands-on learning for both beginners and intermediate students. Beginner learners built the Twin Pillar Bridge, designing strong bridge models and lighting up both pillars while discovering how lights improve safety and visibility in real bridges.
Intermediate students explored smart technology by creating a Digital Distance Meter using ultrasonic sensors and Arduino, displaying real-time distance on an LCD screen. From simple circuits to smart sensing, the session sparked curiosity, confidence, and excitement as kids turned ideas into real working projects at Yabot Academy.
